Being Made New in Christ

"We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life." Romans 6:4 NIV

"I took you from the ends of the earth, from its farthest corners I called you. I said, 'You are my servant'; I have chosen you and have not rejected you." Isaiah 41:9 NIV

"Oh, you switched up!"
"What do you call yourself doing, reinventing yourself?"
Actually, yes. I've been called out. But I am not the one doing the shifting, the Holy Spirit is. As believers, when we fully accept the Gospel and what it means in our lives, we have no choice but to accept the transformation that comes with it spiritually. In order to not be transformed, we would literally have to suppress the Holy Spirit within us, and that's just, for lack of better words....disrespectful. The more you learn about God, the more you will act on this knowledge. To know Him is to love Him. And we love because He first loved us (1 John 4:19). So, what people will perceive as you switching up is the transformation of your mind (Romans 12:2) expressed outwardly.

What God has done in my life led me to publicly proclaim my rebirth in Christ Jesus. I am being transformed into His image (2 Corinthians 3:18) for the world to see. I have never in my life been so full of joy as I was that day, Wednesday, April 17th, 2019. A new freedom came over me (2 Corinthians 3:17). I am now free to walk in the newness of life that I have been given because of Jesus Christ. My joy is forever in abundance because He chose me and I have now publicly declared, I am choosing Him.
